Orthodontist in Łódź
Orthodontist — fixed braces, removable appliances and retainers for children and adults. We correct bites and straighten teeth effectively and comfortably.

What is orthodontic treatment
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry concerned with correcting tooth position and bite irregularities. A misaligned bite is not just an aesthetic issue: it causes uneven tooth wear, joint pain and makes oral hygiene more difficult.
At iDenta clinic in Łódź, we offer metal, ceramic and sapphire braces as well as clear aligners. Orthodontic treatment is available for adults and children from the age of 12–13 — once all permanent teeth have erupted.
Orthodontics in Łódź means not only a beautiful smile, but also improved chewing function, reduced risk of cavities and periodontitis, and in many cases relief from headaches caused by TMJ dysfunction.

During and after treatment
For the first 3–5 days after fitting braces or changing an aligner, some soreness when chewing is normal. Eat soft foods; take pain relief if needed.
With braces: avoid hard, sticky and fibrous foods (nuts, chewing gum, raw carrots). Brush your teeth after every meal with an orthodontic brush and interdental brushes.
After braces are removed, a retainer is mandatory — indefinitely. Without a retainer, teeth shift back to their original positions within a few years. A fixed retainer (a thin wire bonded behind the teeth) is the most reliable option.
Contraindications and limitations
Orthodontic treatment requires prior preparation:
- Active periodontitis — periodontal treatment and stabilisation must come first
- Cavities and gum inflammation — all teeth must be healthy before orthodontics begins
- Poor oral hygiene — braces with inadequate hygiene cause enamel demineralisation
- Severe osteoporosis — limited scope for tooth movement
After a consultation and panoramic X-ray, we create an individual treatment plan — with predicted outcome and duration.
