A therapeutic dressing is a temporary bandage based on antiseptic and soothing agents, placed on an affected primary tooth for mild pulp inflammation. The aim is to relieve pain and reduce inflammation before definitive treatment.
The dressing stays in the tooth for 1–2 weeks. At the next visit the doctor assesses the pulp condition and decides on further treatment.
